Arun Amberkar: The youngest guy I know!

To tell you the truth he is a Nana!

And yet none of the youngsters I know come close,when we consider his youthfulness and enthusiasm for life.


Arun was the most senior art guy at Clarion advertising Mumbai when I joined as a copywriter. Later he became my art partner as well.


I remember the long nights we used to sit together for cracking ideas. As a senior vice president he could sit in the cabin and push others but he has a hunger for ideas.He was part of the huddle. He,Ram,me,Naresh Chonkar,Salil Dandekar...


The camaraderie was solid. All of us pushed each other to do better. The most pushing was Arun. When we used to get excited about some basic idea he would say: "Old idea! I used to do it in my younger days!"


He is the guy you could fight with. he is the perfect partner to spar ideas with. No ego will come between. Age difference is something you will never be aware of.


Now, he is with Chlorophyll brand consultancy. I don't know his designation. It's immaterial.
